As a Data Specialist within the Marketing & E-commerce department, your primary role will be to provide analytical tools and support and promote a data-driven culture within the organization. You will closely collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to develop and implement data solutions that enhance our decision-making and overall performance.


Your responsibilities include equipping the client's marketing teams with appropriate dashboarding and analytical capabilities to steer the strategy. You will actively contribute to the selection and implementation of tools for performance tracking and related analyses. 

Additionally, you will play a key role in establishing and cultivating a data-driven culture, especially with a focus on operating in a more customer-centric manner. You will support the Performance Manager in monitoring department KPIs and serve the analytical needs of various teams through training, knowledge sharing, and exploring advanced analysis techniques such as data science and AI. Moreover, you will act as an ambassador for the marketing department in projects involving the collection and utilization of customer data across different departments.

Key Areas of Results and Main Activities:


Marketing Data Tool Stack Construction:

  • Analyze the data needs of the Marketing department (collection, storage, analysis, visualization).
  • Collect requirements from different marketing teams.
  • Create specifications based on these needs.
  • Evaluate available tools and platforms on the market to meet specifications.
  • Implement chosen tools (setup, configuration, user training).
  • Ensure effective data collection, maintaining data quality and integrity over time.
  • Ensure compliance of tools with European privacy regulations (GDPR).

 

Dashboarding & Analysis Techniques:

  • Identify dashboard needs for Marketing teams, especially the Performance Manager.
  • Implement and maintain dashboards using appropriate data sources.
  • Address Performance Manager's needs for effective and regular KPI tracking.
  • Validate and maintain data quality from identified sources.
  • Create, evolve, and maintain dashboards, explaining them to relevant teams.
  • Occasionally provide necessary datasets for in-depth analyses.
  • Advise teams on analysis approaches (tools, datasets, etc.).
  • Explore advanced analysis methods to meet evolving needs.
  • Represent marketing in company projects to ensure proper data collection and availability.

 

Data Culture & Empowerment:

  • Facilitate the adoption of a data-driven culture within teams for a more relevant and personalized customer experience.
  • Raise awareness among department and adjacent teams on data-related topics.
  • Share knowledge structurally to contribute to departmental skill development.
  • Identify potentially interesting innovations for the department (new trends, emerging technologies).
  • Demonstrate the relevance and feasibility of artificial intelligence through experiments and pilot projects.
  • Propose internal or external training for department colleagues.
  • Advise teams on data analysis best practices and the importance of data-driven decision-making.
  • Define, adopt, and monitor data quality maintenance processes in all relevant teams.
  • Establish documentation routines and a knowledge base for the department and beyond.
